SAA Donates Air plane engines to our school
One of the highlights of the school is the displayed engine of a Boeing 747 aeroplane. “We are changing the history of township education. These learners will not add to the unemployment rate of this country, but will be very competitive, with the market looking for them. They need to take advantage of this opportunity,” he said.
Department hosts first award ceremony for Curtis Nkondo School of Specialization
The Gauteng Department of Education hosted the first award ceremony at Curtis Nkondo School of Specialization in Emndeni.
The event was mainly aimed at rewarding great work done by the top three exceptional learners from each of the nine subjects and to encourage others to do more and do better.
The event was in the form of a gala dinner and with a number of government dignitaries in the presence of parents and learners from the school.
“That’s the main reason why we are committed as the department to make sure that we launch a special school every month.
“This school aims to break away from the classical way of doing things and aims to incorporate practical learning so that the learner is equipped by the time they leave school.
